Betting odds after Jonathan Ross leaves the BBC
It was announced yesterday that one of the highest paid stars will be leaving the BBC after 13 years and there is a lot of speculation about what the daring star will do next.
Sky Bet have opened a betting market on the controversial TV star, offering a price of 10/1 that Ross will become a presenter on the X-Factor and 20/1 that he joins Britain’s Got Talent. A price of 10/1 is available that Ross will make the same move as good friend Russell Brand and head to America to make a film.
Other odds on Jonathon Ross’ future include what channel he will go to next with a price of 10/11 that he will move to ITV and 9/4 that he returns to Channel 4 where he began his career with his first late night show, “The Last Resort”, and Sky are backed at 11/4.
It seems that after yesterday’s news it was leaked that Graham Norton has been given Jonathan Ross’s slot on BBC and Sky Bet are offering a price of 1/3 that Norton takes over Ross’ Friday night chat show.
A spokeswoman from Sky Bet explained, “Mark Kermode and Graham Norton look to be the obvious choice to fill Ross’ shoes in the chat show and film show department but the race to fill his radio show hot seat looks a lot more open.”
