Arsenal vs. Man U Online Betting Preview

Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford on Saturday full of confidence after their Champions League qualifying victory over Celtic on Wednesday night.

The Gunners have been very impressive so far this season and have won their opening two League games and scored ten goals in the process. Everton were defeated 6-1 at Goodison Park on the opening day and Portsmouth lost 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United has been inconsistent in their three games so far but has managed to win two of them. The Red Devils beat Birmingham City 1-0 on the opening day at Old Trafford then suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away from home at Premiership new boys Burnley. However, United bounced back in emphatic style with a 5-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the JJB Stadium last season.

Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas, is doubtful for the match on Saturday and it is 50:50 as to whether or not he will make the trip. The Spanish midfield maestro injured his hamstring last weekend in the first half against Portsmouth.

Arsene Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Thursday that, “He had a training session today that was quite positive. He will have a definite test tomorrow where we will decide if we include him in the squad or not. Today I would say it is a real 50:50. Yesterday it I would say it was 60:40 against but he looked positive today.”

United will be without goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar and centre back Rio Ferdinand, who will be sorely missed in the United defence. The key to the match is whether or not Arsenal can contain England striker Wayne Rooney, who has been in magnificent form. Arsenal’s new signing Thomas Vermaelen has not faced a striker of Rooney’s calibre so far this season and he will be given a stern test.

To win the match Manchester United are 5/4 with Sky bet while Arsenal is 13/5 with Paddy Power. The draw is 12/5 with Bet Fred.

Jenson Button Formula 1 Online Betting Odds

Formula 1 Championship leader, Jenson Button, is in no doubt that Brawn has rectified their car’s problems in order to get him back to winning ways at this Sunday’s European Grand Prix in Valencia.

Button has failed to reach the podium in his last three outings and has not won since the Turkish Grand Prix on June 7th. As a result of this, the Englishman has seen his lead in the driver’s championship cut to 18½ points.

However, the 29 year old is confident that the staff at Brawn have identified certain problems which have occurred in recent races.

Button told BBC Sport, “there has been a lot of work going on and we understand the car more than we did two races ago. It is looking positive. I spoke to my race engineer Andrew Shovlin on Monday and we went over step-by-step through the season where we’ve gone with the car mechanically. We thought through everything – the ride height, the weight distribution, and the mechanical set-up – and we saw a bit of a trend. So we think we know some of the reasons for our issues, especially with tyre temperature.”

Button identified Brawn’s failure to warm up the car’s tyres to the most favourable working temperatures as the answer to their performance decline and most notably in cooler weather conditions.

Two of the last three races have been in cooler temperatures, as Button finished the British Grand Prix in sixth position and fifth in Germany. At the most recent race in Hungary, the driver failed to capture any points and that was in sunny conditions.

To win the European Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is the race favourite and bet 365 is offering 12/5 while bluesq is 5/2. Jenson Button is fourth favourite and 8/1 is being offered by bet fred and sky bet; Canbet and betinternet offer customers odds of 13/2.

Online betting odds say Bea is favourite to get evicted this week

Bookies have made Bea the clear favourite to get the chop this week after Marcus survived last week and knowing that Bea is one of the least liked housemates and least likely to be the outright winner of the show, it seems a sensible judgement!

If you want to place a last minute bet on the argumentative housemate to go, then the best odds available are 1/20 with Paddy Power compared to Sky Bet who is holding odds of 1/150 for her to go!

It seems that David has had a lucky escape and although claims he doesn’t want to go, it is almost a certain that we will see a very relieved David as well as a smitten one that ex best friend Bea has gone after nominating him this week. However, if the public choose to fall for the waterworks that Bea has turned on, then David is second favourite to go with odds of 12/1 with Bet365. Marcus has started to win over the public and is doing very well in the outside world, despite being up for eviction again this week after surviving in last week’s eviction against best friend Freddie and Ladbrokes are backing him at 40/1 to go this week.

Bookies are backing Rodrigo, Siavash and Sophie as the most likely winners of Big brother 10 with Stan James giving odds of 5/2 for Rodrigo, 3/1 for Sivash and 10/3 for Sophie.

Cincinnati Masters Online Betting Odds

Former Wimbledon and U.S Open champion, Lleyton Hewitt, fought back from two match points down to defeat Sweden’s Robin Soderling in round one of the Cincinatti Masters.

The Australian finally prevailed in an epic match 3-6 7-6 6-4 and will face Benjamin Becker in the second round. Hewitt looked like he was going to be defeated in the second set tiebreak when Soderling was up at 6-5 and 8-7. However, the man from Adelaide finally won the second set tiebreak and broke his opponent early on in the deciding set to obtain victory.

Hewitt told Sky Sports “It was not easy to go through because he has been playing well these past months, in Roland Garros and also Wimbledon. Against Becker, I will have to try to play my game and execute well if I want to go further. Ever since I played here for the first time in 1999, I have always played well. I like this tournament. It is one of my favourite on tour.”

In other action, Germany’s former world number two , Tommy Haas lost a tight match 7-6 5-7 7-6 to American John Isner.

Bookies odds show that Miss Great Britain is not going to win Miss Universe

This Sunday will reveal who will steal the title of Miss Universe and it seems that Miss Great Britain has no chance of winning.

Bookies are backing Miss Great Britain at 80/1 to win with Boylesports, showing that she is very little threat to the other contestants. Instead it seems that Miss Ireland is in with a fantastic chance to win the competition. It is debatable whether or not the Irish bookies Paddy Power are favouring their own kind or whether she is actually proving tough competition for others, either way she can be backed at short odds of 14/1.

Miss Australia is still rated as the current favourite to be crowned Miss Universe 2009 and it seems her odds are not about to change anytime soon before the winner is announced. Paddy Power is backing her at 5/2 to win the title, with Miss Dominican Republic backed at second favourite with odds of 10/1.

Celtic vs Arsenal betting tips for this Tuesday 18th August

This Saturday saw Arsenal have a superb win over Everton with a final score of 6-1 leaving bookies a little confused when giving odds for their next game against Celtic on Tuesday. If you would like to take a risk then you can get odds of 350/1 with Bet365, keeping the hope that we will be able to witness the same score again. However, if you want to play it a little bit safer, then Ladbrokes are offering 8/1 that the score will be 2-1 to Arsenal.

Sky Bet are offering 11/4 that Celtic will defeat Arsenal and make it through to the group stages. Expekt are offering 11/10 that there are at least 3 goals and 3/4 that both teams score in the match.

Totesport are giving odds of 11/10 that Arsenal will win this game at Parkhead on Tuesday night, however it is not essential that Arsenal win this match and should be safe whatever the score, but everyone wants to be a winner!

Marcus to get the boot in tomorrows eviction!

Both Freddie and Marcus have been causing havoc in the house this week and the pair’s popularity is rapidly decreasing! This week’s Big Brother eviction seems a pretty straight forward one, with Marcus almost certain to go.

Freddie, who has been favourite since the second week, having survived countless nominations is becoming less likely to win. He could once be backed at 7/2 to win with Bet365 and Stan James but his odds are a lot longer now.

Marcus is backed at 1/6 to go with Bet365 and Paddy Power, whereas best friend Freddie is slightly safer at 4/1 to be evicted this week with Stan James. This shows that Freddie should be safe again this week, but it looks like tonight is the last glimpse of Marcus in the Big Brother house we are going to get!

Whilst the favourite for this year’s Big Brother keeps changing, it seems that this week bookies are backing Siavash with odds of 10/3 with Bet365, with Sophie not far behind at 7/2 with Stan James.
